Before we pack up

A straight answer

What paint
won’t fix.

Paint does a lot, but it isn’t magic. We’d rather tell you now than have you find out after we’ve left.

i

It won’t hide bad drywall

A fresh coat makes dents and patches more visible, not less. We point out anything that needs repair first and price it separately.

ii

Big color changes cost more

Going from light to deep navy, or covering a red wall with white, can take a primer and a third coat. That’s on your estimate up front.

iii

Painted brick is close to permanent

It looks great and it lasts, but going back to bare brick is hard and expensive. We talk it through properly before you decide.

iv

Texas summers set the schedule

In July we start at sunrise and follow the shade around the house. Paint applied to a wall baking in direct sun doesn’t cure right.

It depends on size, condition and how much prep the surfaces need. Most interior rooms land somewhere between $450 and $850 for walls. The estimate tool above gives you a rough range in a minute, and your written estimate is itemized so you can see exactly where the money goes.

Spring and fall are ideal. We paint through the summer too, starting at sunrise and working around the shade so paint never goes onto a wall baking in direct sun. We pause for rain and for cold snaps below about 50°F.

In many DFW neighborhoods, yes. Check your HOA’s rules before you commit. We give you the exact color names and codes, plus large painted samples, so the approval paperwork is easy.

With proper prep and a quality exterior paint, usually seven to ten years. South- and west-facing walls fade first, so those are the ones to watch.

No. We move it to the middle of the room, wrap it, and put it back where it was. Just take down anything fragile or valuable, like framed photos and electronics.

Yes, and it’s one of the most common jobs in newer homes. We clean the walls, spot-prime any patches, and usually recommend an eggshell or satin finish that wipes clean.

Most single rooms take a day. A whole home interior is usually three to five days, depending on ceilings, trim and how many colors you choose.

Texas doesn’t issue a state license for painting contractors, so the thing to ask any painter for is proof of liability insurance. We send ours with every written estimate.
